Welcome to my little art corner of the internet! I'm so excited to introduce myself. My name is Demi, a.k.a. Daystar Illustration. I work as an artist part-time, and one day hope it will be a full-time endeavor. I'm here to share a bit about who I am, what I love, and what you can expect from my blog.
Who Is Daystar Illustration?
Daystar Illustration is my pseudo name on social media, as well as my art business. I create fantasy illustrations that range from bright and whimsical to dark and moody. I am currently in my late twenties, engaged, and have a cat and dog. Aside from my art business, I also work full time in automation manufacturing.
Why Am I Blogging?
Part of the reason why I am blogging, is because creating YouTube videos takes much more time an effort than what I can afford. The other part is because I want to connect more with other people who have the same interests and build a community around those interests. I hope to inspire others, share knowledge, and give advice on art related topics, whether it be art block, things I have learned as an artist, or an inside look into my creative process.
What Can You Expect?
Here you'll find a growing trove of advice, experiences, tutorials and more. My aim is to share my knowledge and help others that are also on their own art journey, or just coming along as I document my art journey.
Beyond Blogging
When I am not making art in my free-time, you can find me reading fantasy books, kayaking, baking, watching shows, or playing games. I always enjoy cozying up with a blanket and cup of tea, and my cuddle bug of a dog. On occasion you'll find me out socializing with me and my fiancé's friends and family. Whether it's visiting an art museum, sketching new ideas, or enjoying a day out in nature, these experiences shape who I am and what I bring to this blog.
Let's Connect!
I'm thrilled to embark on this blogging journey and to share it with you. Don't hesitate to dm me on my socials, comment on blog articles or email me with inquiries.
Thank you for dropping by and taking the time to get to know me. I look forward to sharing more with you soon!
Shine bright,
Daystar Illustration
